The American electric car company Tesla has produced several cars for testing at its plant in Grunheide, near the German capital, Berlin.

Tesla produces several electric cars at its factory in Germany for testing

According to the data announced by Tesla yesterday, Monday, the temporary licenses include the production of a limited number of experimental structures, noting that these structures are intended for experimentation in Grunheide or external sites, but they are not allowed to be sold.

The official testing process at the car factory in Grunheide has not yet begun.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk hopes to start production at the factory this year.

The German magazine "Automobile Fühe" had written in its latest issue that five "Y" models were produced at the "giant factory" near Berlin and stated that Tesla intends, as of next January, to produce 1,000 cars per week initially, with the production rate raised by the middle of the year, but the company did not comment on what the magazine mentioned in this regard.

As part of an initial expansion move, Tesla plans to produce up to 500,000 cars each year and employ about 12,000 people.

The plant has not yet obtained a license from the state of Brandenburg and a permit decision will likely be issued this year.

But the state's environmental department has not announced a timeline for granting the company the environmental permit.

A spokesperson said permit procedures are continuing, noting that critics' opinions are currently being reviewed through an online discussion, and noting that the department has not yet received documents from Tesla and the authorities.

Conservationists and residents in the area fear that the plant will cause negative repercussions for the environment, and they believe that the plant’s consumption of water is excessive, but Tesla has denied the validity of these fears.

Musk plans to set up a large battery factory next to the car factory in Grunhead, and last week Tesla abruptly ditched potential billion-euro government support to build the battery plant. The reason for this move is still unknown.

For more exclusivity... Porsche expands the range of special colors

Porsche Corporation has announced an expansion of the range of special colors for all models with the new Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus programs.

The German company focuses on providing classic Porsche colors, with the option of custom colors according to customer specifications for individual requests.

Porsche explained that it is working to restore the classic colors and expand the color options available through these programs by offering more than 160 colors for all models.

As part of the customization strategy developed by Porsche, the company is renaming its "Custom Color" program, now called "Paint to Sample". This program includes historical colors such as Maritime blue, Ruby Starred, and Mint green. These colors, which were introduced in the 1990s exclusively for the 911 (Type 964), are very popular with Porsche enthusiasts.

The new color palette varies according to the model; For the 911 and 718 models, there are more than 100 colors to choose from. As for Panamera, Macan, and Cayenne, customers can choose from more than 50 colors, while 65 colors are available for Taycan customers.

Paint to Sample colors can be ordered during the selection process of the new vehicle equipment at all Porsche Centers around the world, and the cost varies depending on the model, which is selected.

The additional enhanced customization program is scheduled to be integrated into the online vehicle equipment selection tool "Porsche Car Configurator" in early 2022.

This will be followed by adding filter options, eg by color family, and information about specific colors on the website.

For special color requests, the Porsche custom-made department has gone a long way. The Paint to Sample Plus program can freely choose the color of the car, but this program is limited to 911, 718, and Taycan models.
